About this property
As you drive down the gravel drive to the Farmhouse you will pass the Aspens, Blue Spruce and Lodge Pole Pines and smell the crisp mountain air that are just the beginning taste of what makes the Farmhouse so special. Both lower and upper decks of the Farmhouse face a beautiful community mountain lake that welcomes our local wildlife like moose and bald eagles to cool off in the summer months. You will experience a night sky with constellations and the quiet known in the High Country.
The space
As you arrive, you’ll see a smaller structure connected to the Farmhouse by a breezeway called the Carriage House. The Carriage House is separate rental. There is no access to the breezeway from either house and is used for owner storage. The only entry into the Farmhouse is your front door and the patio door to the master bedroom (locked on your arrival).
As you make your way into the house and upstairs to the open living space, you will see the lake and the deck overlooking the lake! You can sit and enjoy the nice fire-pit/BBQ grill and glass of wine. You can stroll around the lake trail and enjoy views of the Colorado Mountains and wildlife. At night, you can take in the brilliant constellations which are often lost in the city lights and be enveloped in the quiet of Colorado’s high country. The Farmhouse has 3 queen beds in the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a private deck with a brand new hot tub you can just step into!
The Farm House kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and of course Black Rifle Coffee each morning because we are veterans, and we support our veterans.

8 Minutes Golden Gate Canyon State Park (trails for hiking and biking, fishing)
25 minutes Eldora Mountain with local skiing (many of our winter guests love to ski Winter Park - 1 hour away)

Guest access
You have full access to the Farmhouse which is an 1800 sq. foot home with three bedrooms, 2 baths, fully stocked kitchen, dining and living area with an upper and lower deck with and hot tub.
THE SURROUNDINGS
The property sits in front of a private community lake with breathtaking views which offer a variety of activities. During the summer, kayaks and fishing poles will be ready to use at the house to experience the pristine mountain lake. There are many activities to do and sights to see in the area. You can take the Peak-to-Peak Highway for one of Colorado’s most beautiful drives and visit Estes Park, a gateway to the amazing Rocky Mountains. The historic mining towns of Black Hawk and Central City have fun mine tours to pan for gold, or shop along the mainstreet, or enjoy a night of gambling in the many casinos. Just a mile from the house is a large playground area and a couple miles away is a fantastic recreation center with indoor pool, slides, and gym!
An AWD or four-wheel drive vehicle will be required during the winter months. As we live nearby, we will be there to plow and shovel snow, or take care of any needs you have.
